This year Hilco Streambank participated in the Cycle for Survival event to help raise money for rare cancer research. Cycle for Survival was founded by Jennifer Goodman Linn - a Memorial Sloan Kettering patient and Equinox member - and her husband, David.

Cycle for Survival is the fastest-growing athletic fundraising event in the country, celebrating 12 years in 2018. In 2017, the event raised more than $34 million toward rare cancer research. This year the event is expecting 34,000 participants with over 230,000 donors, while hitting 16 cities across the country.

To break down the numbers even further, $140 million has been raised by Cycle for Survival since 2007, with $110 Million raised in the last four years. The community is determined to change the way cancer is diagnosed and treated by funding new and better treatment options to help patients around the world. The event has already raised $26.7 million this year.

Events feature Equinox certified cycle instructors leading the way as teams split time on a designated bike. Riders are fueled by complimentary snacks, great playlists, and inspirational words from riders who experience rare cancer first hand. The Hilco Streambank team featured 8 riders sporting company swag labeled with the Cycle for Survival logo. We had an amazing time and will be sure to mark it on the calendar for next year.

There is still time to donate to this underfunded research. 100% of every dollar raised goes to cutting-edge research led by Memorial Sloan Kettering. Visit our team page today to show your support.
