New York – (October 16, 2017) - Hilco Streambank today announced the appointment of Richelle Kalnit as Senior Vice President at the market leading intellectual property advisory firm.  Ms. Kalnit will be based in New York City, and will focus on management of IP disposition engagements for Hilco Streambank’s extensive list of clients, while expanding the firm's successful retail and brand IP business.

Ms. Kalnit joins Hilco Streambank with 12 years of legal experience at two of the nation’s top law firms.   Most recently, Ms. Kalnit served as a senior associate attorney at the law firm Cooley LLP, where she focused on large retail transactions as well as litigation.  During her tenure at the firm, Ms. Kalnit managed the sale, reorganization and liquidation of several of the most prominent retailers, hotels and restaurants in the country, including Orchard Brands, hhgregg, Golfsmith, City Sports, Edwin Watts Golf Shops, Baha Mar Hotels, Pizzeria Uno, Crabtree & Evelyn, Samsonite, SkyMall, Mervyn's and many more.

Ms. Kalnit began her career at the law firm King & Spalding LLP in 2005, where she gained critical experience with distressed corporate financing and litigation.  

Ms. Kalnit received her Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at the Yeshiva University, following completion of her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania.  Ms. Kalnit has been honored by New York Lawyer magazine as one of New York’s rising legal stars for 4 consecutive years beginning in 2013.
