Robin Van Persie (pictured with hosts Geoff Shreeves and Rachel Riley) was awarded the prestigious Nipper trophy at the HMV-sponsored Legends of Football.

This year's event celebrated 25 seasons of the Premier League and marked the achievements of the "100 Club" – the exclusive group of 25 players who have scored 100 or more Premier League goals. The 100 club members voted for the greatest Premier League goal with Van Persie's goal for Manchester United against Aston Villa proving victorious.

The Legends of Football, now in its 21st year, raises funds for music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins with this year's event raising in excess of £404,000.
