Hilco Global acquired the retail fashion brand Haute Hippie in partnership with luxury fashion distributor Madaluxe and other undisclosed partners. Together, the investment partners indicated that they plan to continue to market the brand “upmarket” and will work to expand the brand through strategic initiatives, creative brand licensing, launching exciting new designs, and expanded brand marketing. Jeff Hecktman said that “acquiring the Haute Hippie label is a fantastic addition to our current brand portfolio. The fashion label is a recognized, iconic brand with a strong retail network and a loyal following around the world. We see significant growth potential in the brand and we’re excited to bring our extensive retail expertise to this fashion label".

The Haute Hippie brand is known for its strong fashion forward designs targeting the well-traveled woman with an international flair and a comfortable bohemian style. Recently, the brand appointed Cady Vaccaro as the new Creative Director. Ms. Vaccaro was one of the first designers at Alice + Olivia serving for almost 10 years and most recently as the Senior Design Director. Haute Hippie is headquartered in Manhattan's garment district and currently has a strong retail presence, selling its collections in hundreds of stores in the United States. Including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and Harvey Nichols Beyonce, Adriana Lima and Blake Lively are just a few of the top style icons that have worn Haute Hippie.
